It all began with advocating for our neighborhood project that later became theDon & Brenda Nottoli Park.

Before COVID-19, our Vineyard families waited to see when our Mello Roos fees would turn into our local park. We advocated and worked with Supervisor Don Nottoli to help shape this project, vote for the right amenities, and speak in public meetings to ensure its entitlements and construction.

Then in 2022, we were almost hit by a speeding car as we walked across the street from the dog park. After this event, we worked with Sacramento County to canvass and collect signatures during Super Bowl weekend to get our speed bumps/tables and stop signs installed by the Department of Transportation. This was my way to volunteer to ensure the safety of our community- now dozens of kids cross safely across Hanfield to play their youth football and soccer leagues every season.

I have a young family - a baby, a toddler, a supportive husband, and rescue dog named Charlie.

I graduated from UCLA after attending local schools - David Reese elementary, James Rutter Middle School, and Florin High School. I currently work as a Human Resources Manager for the State of California, leading teams and projects to improve labor relations, encourage employment, recruitment, and retention. As a life-long Sacramento resident, I am blessed to call this place home and have been your voice at Southgate Rec and Park District since March 2023.

KEY INITIATIVES & PROJECTS

• Supported and spearheaded Don and Brenda Nottoli Park Improvements (Dog park, shade structure, planting trees and equipment)

• Supported and helped find grant funding for the solar equipment at Pat O’Brien Community Center

• Worked with Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District on installing EV Chargers at multiple parks: Nicholas Park, Pat O’Brien Community Center, and Larry Gury Community Park

• Managed a balanced budget that prioritized park improvements, capital projects, adequate staffing, and safety efforts while ensuring accountable use of fees and tax payer dollars

• Gathered signatures and petition for the speed tables, traffic improvements, and stop signs at Hanfield Drive

• Supported the book drive and planning for our local Vineyard library

• Attended and advocated for traffic improvements and spoke in public meetings by the Sacramento County Department of Transportation
